History of Shopify
Shopify was founded in the year 2004 by Tobias Lutke, Daniel Weinand, and Scott Lake. This was after attempting to open snowdevil. Snowdevil was projected to be an online shopping store for snowboarding equipment. After being displeased with the current e-commerce platforms in the market, Tobias is a computer programmer sought to build his own. This platform was officially launched after two months of development. As of 2009, Shopify officially launched its API platform on the app store.

- Enter your email address, desired password and your store name on the form provided for you. Your username would be searched through the Shopify platform if it has been used.
- If it has not been used, click “Create your store”.
Just follow the on-screen instructions to complete your account sign up.

- Open your web browser and navigate to www.shopify.com.
- Enter your Shopify store address and click on “Next”.
- Enter your password.
